My name is Ryan. I am the co-owner and Executive Pastry Chef of Cake & Corolla.
Since I can remember, I have always had an interest in the food industry. I chose the sweeter side of things because baking & pastry allows you to show your creativity and expression without the strict rules of the savory side, in my opinion. I have made this decision though my journey in the professional food world. There were a few restaurants where I was an executive pastry chef. It was a goal I had always wanted to achieve, but once I did, I still didn’t feel complete.
After working in multiple bakeries from Pennsylvania to Virginia, I knew the bakery life was for me. Fun fact, my first bakery I ever worked in was right here in Easton, PA. Now it seems I have come full circle right back here to Easton where I can not only be creative and express myself through my cakes and pastries, but deliver beautiful and delicious baked goods to each and every one of you who come to visit us here at Cake & Corolla Bakery.
When I created Cake & Corolla, I wanted it to be different. I wanted it to stand out from other bakeries. That is why I choose to be a flower shop as well as a bakery, hence the “Corolla.” The definition of Corolla is the petals of a flower, typically forming a whorl within the sepals and enclosing the reproductive organs. I also think that cake and fresh flowers go beautifully together. I believe the products we produce here at the bakery can fulfill each category: classical, whimsical, and beautiful. I am looking forward to each and everyone one of you coming to the bakery, and I hope you share the same views as we do here at Cake & Corolla.
